Greetings MMHS Parents and Guardians,

We are off to a fantastic start after a great first two days of school! To maintain a safe, focused, and positive learning environment, please review the following key reminders and upcoming events.

  1. Campus Safety & Code of Conduct

Safety is our top priority. Under CCPS policy, no students or visitors are permitted on campus under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

  • Daily Backpack Checks: Please inspect your scholar's backpack daily. Prohibited items—including drugs, alcohol, vapes, and weapons—are strictly forbidden on campus.
  • Consequences: Any violations will result in immediate disciplinary action in alignment with the CCPS Student Code of Conduct.
  1. Dress Code Policy (Enforced Daily)

We love seeing our scholars' excitement for back-to-school fashion, but MMHS strictly enforces the CCPS dress code policy daily. Please check your scholar's attire each morning before they leave for school to ensure they are dressed to learn and dressed for success.

Prohibited Items Include:

  • Slides or bedroom slippers
  • Bonnets, wave caps, hats, or ski masks
  • Spandex tights or sagging pants
  • Tops revealing the midriff

3. Action Items & Forms                                                                                                                                                                                                                                              Chromebook Agreement Form: Please complete by scanning the QR Code attached in this email.

  • Parent Occupational Survey (Green Form): Scholars will bring this form home TOMORROW. Please complete and return it to the Parent Resource Center ONLY if you answer "YES" to the questions.
    • Missing a form? Scholars can pick up extra copies posted on the door of Room 206 (The Parent Resource Center)

4. Senior Opportunity: HBCU & College Fair

  • Final Call for 12th Graders: Registration is closing for the HBCU Impact & College Fair Day taking place tomorrow, Wednesday, August 5th, at the Georgia World Congress Center. Please see the attached information to sign up today.
