SUBJECT: Flying Tigers Summer of Service
1. The mission of the AFJROTC program is to "Develop citizens of character dedicated to serving their nation and community.” Our program emphasizes the core values of the United States Air Force which are, "Integrity First, Service Before Self, and Excellence In all We Do." As a Cadet, you are expected to live up to our Air Force Core Values on a daily basis in fulfilling the AFJROTC mission. We will build on our success this upcoming year by working towards winning Distinguish Unit with Merit. This award is only given to the Top 10% of the 986 AFJROTC units around the world. Our program has completed 20296.12 community service hours since opening in January 2011 and helped with 553 events. This past year we completed 2093.58 hours with only 53 Cadets. Image what will be able to accomplish with 200 Cadets. Be a part of something great. Most scholarship applications require community service. Set yourself up for success and volunteer. More importantly, it is always better to give then receive. Make a difference in someone’s life.
